Only slightly older than I feel
I am a client facing creative trained in illustration, design and multimedia, I have 10+ years commercial experience in design for print and interactive in Melbourne, Sydney and London. The last year and a half or so has been spent as Design Director at atticmedia. Prior to this I was a freelance senior designer and art director at Dialogue DLKW and tmg.
Over the past few years I have been responsible for leading creative teams in online projects for clients including Disney Channel, BBC and The Greater London Authority as well as creating award winning corporate work for Banking, Finance and Legal clients.
My illustrative background has been essential in the quick visualisation of creative concepts and scamps and has also proven valuable when illustration has actually been required on some projects.
I am actively involved in the web standards community and relish (mmm relish) the power of CSS as a design tool. Flash is a friend of mine (Yeah, we hang out) and I have a strong command of actionscript, xHTML and CSS.
I also understand the benefits of well structured content and semantic markup for both accessibility and search engine optimisation. All this while delivering great concepts and without the slightest resemblance to a boffin (except maybe the glasses).
