BBC Jam - Sonik State

Project description

An online resource to expose 14-16 year old students to the various opportunities available through further study in music. Music as a Key stage three subject has a stigma of being classical music based or alternatively and easy pass subject.

Sonik State was designed as an imersive environment where students could learn about not only the performance side of music but also other music related careers, management, promotion and production. Users were encouraged to participate in social networking activities to promote themselves, their music or the music of a band they were managing within the environment, resulting in a kudos based currency system to allow access to additional areas of feature content.
